We are a Catholic school committed to assisting parents in the education of children within a Christian Community. Pastoral care and Religious Education are an integral part of the curriculum and vital aspects of our school’s life.

St. Thomas More is one of the Parish Schools of Elizabeth North and serves the developing areas of Munno Para/Smithfield. The school opened in 1960 with 56 pupils. Today we have over 400 from Reception to Yr 7.

From its beginnings parents have played an important role in the development of the school and we are fortunate that our parents recognise their involvement in the school as a commitment to the community.

As a Catholic School we face many challenges.

  • How do we help the children to live in an increasingly technological society?
  • How can we promote Christian attitudes and values in a materialistic society?
  • How do we encourage care of our world?
We believe that the Parish and School communities working together can meet these and other challenges and continue to develop a Catholic School that will be relevant through the 21st Century.

School Tours are held on the 1st Wednesday of each month. Please ring the school to make a booking.
